Amish craftsmanship is legendary, and when you think about it, high quality of work is strongly associated with number of years on the job. When employees find a good job with a great company, they tend to stick with it, and when you stick with a job for a long period of time, you tend to get very good at it. Combine that longevity with a deep desire to live out the following Bible passage and it’s a recipe for a very strong work ethic: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” (Colossians 3:23-24)
